Eurasia Continue to Race in 2018 FRD LMP3 Series

After the first successful season in China, FRD LMP3 Series had already announced the 2018 season will be kick starting in April at Shanghai International Circuit. Teams from all over the world are now preparing to joining the new season and seeking for the best drivers to compete for the 2nd season. In the meantime, Eurasia has confirmed their joining next year.

The Philippines based motorsport team Eurasia was founded in 2003, and brings together talent from both Europe and Asia. The team has competed in Asian Le Mans, Formula 3, V6 Asia, Formula BMW Pacific Series, Formula Pilota, Formula Masters China Series and the GT Asia Series’ making them one of Asia’s most experienced racing outfits.

In 2017 they had 2 cars and 4 drivers competing for the season, which are CTCC Changan Ford Racing Team current driver Martin Cao, 2015 AFR overall champion Dan Wells, 2013 AFR overall champion Julio Acosta, and 2016 Asian Le Mans Sprint Cup runner up Garnet Patterson. No.3 driven by Martin and Garnet had won 1st, 2nd and 3rd in opening race and main race in Zhejiang and Zhuhai. No.91 driven by Dan Well and Julio had also made to the podium in the 3rd race in Shanghai. Although Eurasia had not confirm on the roster, they will be announcing the details sooner or later.

There will be new trophies for both Bronze drivers team as Amateur Group, while 2018 season will bring the series to the newly built Ningbo International Speedpark and Zhengzhou International Circuit, so as to attract more amateur drivers to join and experience one of the highest level motorsport events in China. The championship winners of the FRD LMP3 Series will receive invitation into the Asian Le Mans Series for the 2018-2019 season. If the winner of the 2018-2019 Asian Le Mans series is the FRD LMP3 Series champion, they will be provided with free entry to enter the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans.
