The No.95 of Mathias Beche and Jamie Winslow from Craft Bamboo completely dominated the opening race of the fourth round of the 2017 FRD LMP3 Series. After taking the lead at the first corner, nobody came close to the the gearbox of the championship leading crew. The No.18 of Josh Burdon and Pu Junjun from KCMG charged back through the race to finish 2nd. The No.91 from Eurasia finished thrid on the podium through an excellent debut performance from Alex Au.

The pole-starting No.33 from S&D motorsport ran wide at T2 which handed the lead to the No.95. After that most of the action happened in the chasing group led by the Rainey He in the No.7 PTRS car.

During the pitstop most cars maintained their positions. However the No.88 deom FS Sports driving by super star Aaron Kwok didn’t pit until the last minute, meaning he briefly led the race. His race pace was getting very close to his qualifying lap, which was a remarkable achievement by the popular star.

The No.33 showed their disadvantage in tyre management, and was overtaken by the No.18 and No.91. The last bit of action came from the stewards. Stop-and-go penalties were handed to No.25, 33 and 81 without further explanation.
