RS Asia eRacing Winter Season Round 2 finished on 11 December, let’s recap the exciting moments and results.
Clio Cup Recap:
Our HK drivers #27 Ho Sek Yin from G.O.D. Team was as consistent as ever, he stole the second-place from #21 Max Li and set the best lap time 02:20.8200 in Race 2. The G.O.D. Team retains third in the teams’ championship with two races remaining.
#73 Alex Wang contributed valuable points for his team SGAN Motorsports, and his team-mate #28 Sheldon Chong finally showed what he is capable of, with a first-place finish in Race 2, his best-ever result in the Season.
Formula Recap:
In Race 1, the contacts in the chaos at the start compromised the entire race. #21 Luis Moreno, #55 Owen Li and #34 Dillan Tan escaped from the chaos and joined on the podium.
In Race 2, #19 YukB Chen luckily avoided multiple accidents and finished first, but things did not go to plan for him, with a complicated start he received 15 seconds penalty and down to seventh-place.
#16 MT Chen finished 10 and #18 C.Lok finished 15, meaning that for the first time this season, both drivers finished in the points.
#15 Jay Yang continued to demonstrate his strong race pace after an incident in first lap and scored its first win, joined on the podium by #1 Edmund Wong and #21 Luis Moreno.
Despite the disappointing finish in Race 2, #55 Owen Li secured fourth in the drivers' championship.
